a sorta bloggish spot
10.02.2006>
This past weekend Seamus-the-tall (age 3... 4 on October 11th) collected his prizes for discovering the "golden knot" ticket. I am quite certain that there will be no more prize-winning tickets as the tickets went fast enough with no prize associated with the tickets.

Hmmmm. Still no new tickets at The Ark. Perhaps the golden ticket was the end?

10.10.2006> Tickets again at The Ark! Looks like Voilà will be closing soon. It's sad to see businesses close. More visions of fairies dancing in people's heads. I am not sure who the droppings are for... the fairies or the ants!

10.11.2006> Yikes! Word on the street is that it might snow Friday!
Are we in Michigan or something!?

...oh.

10.17.2006> People do stoopid things (self included), so WHY do some people choose to ingest stoopid enhancers? hmmm... I suppose that goes back to doing stoopid things, eh?
Of course I might be giving too much credit, perhaps there was no "enhancement".

luckily there are quite a few clever, generous and kind people to balance things out a bit.

FOX2 NEWS (localish) WBJK Detroit will be running the spot.

I have to go buy a blank VHS tape and see if i can figure out the machine. I haven't recorded anything in years.

10.19.2006> Caught it. The FOX2 NEWS spot. Even managed to record it.
Quite amusing.

I've noted that the Von Trapps, The Osmonds & the Bradys have been frequenting the Ark fairy ticket window along with all their cousins. That has to be the reason so many tickets are disappearing... right? It can't be THAT much fun to play "kitten with toilet paper".

10.20.2006> Well! It appears that we will have to buy a new pumpkin.
Most years it is the squirrels who lay claim to the Jack-o-lanterns, with their nibblage.
THIS year a new beastie has taken interest.

10.24.2006> I have some good tips on urban fairy activity that I hope to be able to substantiate soon.
I also need to update the tour map due to additions and attritions. Urban fairies are as flighty as their rural counterparts.

Now I have some catching up to do! Yesterday I got "beat-up" by a kidney stone. "Stone" is a misnomer in that it is not EVEN a "pebble" (in my case). Anyway, It kept me from work for a day.

Let's see now... Some bits and pieces of the fairy door at Selo/Shevel have gone missing. Some really interesting droppings. A few Fairy Finders were sighted. Yesterday there was a spot in the Ann Arbor News about urban fairies and gourds.

Last night after Samuelina's Orchestra concert one of Kathleen's former students (now a 1st grader and sibling of one of Sam's classmates) caught up with us with drawings she had made for Kathleen and me.

10.27.2006> I was interviewed this afternoon by a trio of students from Eastern Michigan University. That was kind of fun. They don't know too much about Urban Fairies, yet. They will, once they begin interviewing in Ann Arbor.

10.31.2006> It's Halloween day. Last night was a wonderfully warm autumn evening! Half a moon shone down. I was out with Delaney and that half o' moon was right over Jefferson Market. Looking down from the moon we could see that the urban fairies were back! Near the top of the building, just below an undersized version of the store lights, was the fairy door complete with the nickel above it. Happy news that is!
