The Journals:

I have left Journal/ Guestbooks at several of the Locations where fairy doors have appeared and invited people to share their own experiences, thoughts, drawings, musings and observations. On this web page I have posted a few of the journal pages with "translations", as they may be difficult to read in the photos.

Here are some of the Journal/Guestbooks which have already been filled. Sweetwaters café is on their 12th book (as of 7.23.07)...
people tend to loiter there long enough to read, write and draw.

I CAME TO VISIT AND
HAVE COFFEE LAST WINTER - WHEN
TO MY SURPRISE A LITTLE BOY
WAS UNDER MY TABLE, WHISPERING
BEHIND A VERY BUSHY PLANT.
AFTER A FEW MINUTES - THE
MOMMY CAME BY LOOKING FOR
HER SON AND THE BOY MOTIONED
TO MY FEET AND SAID "THE
FAIRIES ARE SLEEPING...
SHHHHH!'

FROM THAT MOMENT ON,
I HAVE BELIEVED
IN FAIRIES.

A wonderfully articulate message from the 3rd journal/guestbook
at Peaceable Kingdom:

8/11/06
" Dear Fairies,
After visiting Peaceable Kingdom
and admiring your magical fairy store,
I decided to sew a quilt to keep you
warm during the upcoming Autumn
months. While I was shopping, I met
Jane, the storekeeper's Jack Russel
Terrier. Jane was initially frightened
of me because I am a child and
some children yhave overwhelmed
her in their attempts to pet her. I
waited paitiently for Jane to
approach me and I remained calm
while she snuggled with me.
Although Jane probably looks like a
gigantic hairy monster when she

pokes her moist nose through your
fairy store window, she is a cuddly
affectionate companion. Fairies,
like children, are small in stature
and may initially frighten Jane
away. I am leaving a dog bone
for you to give to Jane as a
peace offering. I also made
your quilt out of paw print
fabric to remind you that Jane
can be affectionate with little
people if you are calm and
patient with her. I hope you
and Jane live happily ever after
in a Peaceable Kingdom.

Love,
Lauren Pankin (age 8)

I live in Grosse Pointe {ark
with my loving Dogs and
several magical fairies. The
fairies live in my flower garden
and are camera shy.

Two Paiges write on 2 Pages of the 3rd Peaceable Kingdom Journal/Guestbook
(I only just saw this entry which corresponds to the photo sent to me)
"I witnessed a tiny cat
sitting outside the door.
It vanished when I got
too close. It seemed to
want something to eat."

"It looked
a bit
like this"
From page 17 of Peaceable Kingdom's 3rd Journal/guestbook.
From pages 70 & 71 of Sweetwater Café's 10th Journal/guestbook.
