e-mail from Thu, May 11, 2006 10:43 am:

Hello Jonathan,

I am writing to let you know that CAPP (Ann Arbor's Commission on Art in Public Places) will award you a Golden Paintbrush Award for your Fairy Doors. This award will be given at the City Council meeting on the first Monday in June,at 7 p.m. at City Hall. We hope you will be able to attend! We have asked to be first or early on the agenda. The meeting is open to the public.

Thanks for the enchanting Fairy Doors, and congratulations!

Sharon K. Wieland
Administrative Coordinator

(I wouldn't call them "my" fairy doors.... but I can always use another paint brush!)
On Monday, June 5, 2006 at The Ann Arbor City Council meeting I received a Golden Paintbrush Award for
all the hard work the urban fairies have done building in Ann Arbor.

(The urban fairies have not been a CAPP production.)

The Council meeting will be replayed on CTN cable channel 16:

Tuesday, June 6, 2006, 1:30 P.M. (ha!..that's in an hour!)
Friday, June 9, 2006, 7:00 P.M.

CAPPs PowerPoint getting set up.
Sitting at the back.
Action shot with Mayor Hieftje.
Don't ask ME how to pronounce his name,
I called him "Mayor".
The Golden Paintbrush Award.
The golden paintbrush pin...closer.

By the time I went for coffee and before I drove away it was gone!
I suspect they were watching.

I found it!

The Golden Paintbrush PIN.
I gave it to the fairies this morning (6.6.2006)
