The Meet the Author (and his accomplice) event is fast approaching. Monday, November 12 at Nicola's Books.
I still need to post photos and observations from the FaerieCon in Philadelphia. I stopped by and took pictures of the cover of one of the books, which houses the fairy reading room, at the public library which was torn off! The Porch Pumpkin Fairies returned! Though, not for long. The mild weather is causing the pumpkins to decompose more rapidly than usual. More surprising, and perhaps a bit disturbing, is the discovery of another sort of urban fairy door... a Goblin Door? |

I received an e-mail telling me that "Who's Behind the Fairy Doors?" is an Award-Winning Finalist in the "Children's Novelty & Gift Books" category of the National Best Books 2007 Awards. That coolio! | |||||||||

The Meet the Author (and his accomplice) event happened. It was a lot of fun. Even captured the image of an unsuspecting fairy.
Thanks to everyone who turned up! It was a drizzly evening. |

I've received any number of wonderful e-mails. Most recently one came from Liz in Virginia. Liz's husband, Tom, who is currently serving in Iraq, ordered a copy of "Who's Behind the fairy Doors?" for their daughter, Kylie. Apparently Kylie (who is 8 years old) added her fairy drawings to pages 56 & 57 (which is just what those pages are for). There have been some urban beavers lurking around The Ark and nibbling at the woodwork. Some of the damage has been repaired. After a long period with no fairy tickets at the fairy ticket window of The Ark... there are new tickets! Some of the damage to the fairy reading room at the Public Library has been repaired. Conner has been corresponding with the fairies at Sweetwaters Café. |
