I've been working on a fairy illustration to appear on a special mug for Generations Together. It is a kind of Field Hopper Fairy. A Field of Dreams Hopper Fairy.

Coming up for the month of May 2011

I will be showing work at

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea
123 West Washington
Ann Arbor, MI

This should be fun. I have a few months to collect the work, frame some, write descriptions etc...

I discovered that a local vlogger, Tyler Oakley, had filmed and posted a video on the topic of wonderlust, and in it he featured the fairy doors as an example of fufilling that longing within one's own "backyard" (or hometown).

Apparently, Tyler has a pretty big following! In one day it had over 10,000 views!

Wow! I have been busy with "real" work.

In the mean time the urban-fairies and fairy doors have been neglected.

I have received some e-mails and Facebook correspondence from a young woman about getting her copy of "Who's Behnd the Fairy Doors?" signed.

After a bit it became clear that she did not yet HAVE her copy, and sinc ethey have sold out, this proved somewhat problematic. Luckily I saved a few copies for myself. I signed one and set it aside for her... but it went missing. As it turns out, the book was "wrapped" and delivered to her school. Someone claimed to see a man matching my description (poor guy) deliver the book. I suspect some fairy highjinx combined with what is called "fairy glamour". Anyway, I am glad she got the book.

Also I received a really nice Fairee Valentinee from Bailee.
