U.F.O. (Urban Fairies Operations) is much like the fairies themselves ~ neither here nor there. I am currently (temporarily) working out of a make shift location. It is difficult to get anything accomplished without a work space. There have been fairy droppings and e-mail reports of fairies in a number of different locations. There has been damage to many of the Ann Arbor urban fairy constructions... and some repairs. The fairy tickets at the Ark have been jammed up for quite some time now. My book "Who's Behind the Fairy Doors?" sold pretty well in 2007. It was #12 on NIcola's Best seller list for 2007, just behind "The Golden Compass"... not too bad especially considering that there is no major motion picture assocaition, my book was only available for 3/4 of the year and not nearly the publicity (or controversy). |

| On a happier note:
I received a report that their has been a sighting of urban fairy type activity in Jackson, Michigan. Perhaps the faires ARE looking for a safer city? I have not yet been there to see it & take my own pictures, but I did get a few pics in the e-mail. I hope to add those pics soon, as well as some other better news. |

Jonathan is currently writing several books on the fairies in collaboration with his wife, Kathleen, who coincidentally has found a fairy door in her kindergarten classroom. Hopefully it will be fun and informative to come back and see what's new with the Urban Fairies of Ann Arbor.
