I managed to post some of the more happy findings! Journal/Guestbook entries and Gallery images. There really IS much more good surrounding the fairies than bad. I expect we will be seeing more of that soon. ~jbw |

School is back in session. The newest (September 2006) "Current" magazine just came out. The fairy doors are featured. Hooo boy! I sure talk funny! I hope that those were misquotes, because if they aren't, then I am a bigger bumble doofus than I thought! (I'm suspecting!) There was a definate exageration about Kathleen. It's not quite true that she "... grew up traipsing through Ireland looking for fairies." She did visit Ireland when she was 5 years old and spent a great deal of her time there looking for leprechauns. A techicality. Still, it was fun to see and read! ~jbw |

Yesterday was interesting. Camille Amiri of FOX2 News had e-mailed back in May about a possible interview. Yesterday the interview transpired. Her photographer (videographer), Jeff was pretty thorough and pleasant. Camille was very nice and had some good questions. I hope I didn't bungle too much. No matter if I did, our daughters, Samuelina and Delaney had everything covered nicely. Those two did a fantastic job fielding Camille's questions. We are very proud of them (and not just for this). I've chnged the observations page so that the news pages are busted up into catagories of; Print, Radio, Television and internet. ~jbw |

Strange happenings at the Ark. I went by the Ark on Saturday and found that a loose ticket was sticking out and the last one on the roll was one number away from the loose one. I guessed that someone had a favorite number or took two and arbitrarily put one back, but the reality is much better! ~jbw |

Looks like the urban fairies have been busy! The latest installation appears to be Nicola's Books in Westgate Shopping Center. Not a surprising choice of the fairies, especially considering Nicola's British heritage on top of her wonderful selection of books and periodicals. Combine that with a cozy fireplace and the storytellers who often visit, I'm tempted to move in myself. ~jbw |

I was so excited about the new fairy door at Nicola's Books that I didn't take any pictures of the store yesterday. All fixed now. Also fixed the link from the Observations page to the Visions Gallery page. ~jbw |

| 09.22.2006> | I found it interesting that the appearance of a fairy door at Nicola's Books is contrary to my hypothesis on fairy migratory patterns. Aside from the Lakewood Elementary School door, which I believe may have been a stowaway, the fairies appeared to be moving Easterly. Perhaps influenced by prevailing winds. Of course these urban fairies may not be limited to wing power alone.

I recieved some e-mails about some fairy door discoveries. One has been posted, the other I hope to photograph. The October edition of The Ann Arbor Observer featured a great painting, by Steve Gilzow, of the fairy door at Sweetwaters Café. Also have posted the illustration of PeZz... which is extra special because of Seamus (age 3). ~jbw |

Lot's of neat stuff to update. I just got back from one of Kathleen's Kindergarten fieldtrips to our house. Whew! I need a nap! I have photos of some first timers seeing the fairydoors there. I also went to a dentist's office (luckily NOT on business) where there is a minor fairy infestation. ~jbw |

I guess President Clinton vs Chris Wallace Mud Wrasslin' has pre-empted the piece on the urban fairies on FOX2 NEWS. < Just my speculation, I have not heard anything. Fairies don't do politiks. ~jbw |
